Join the Drexel ALS Awareness Association for our 1st Annual Hoops for Hope fundraising competition on May 30th in the Armory! There will be food, games, music, prizes, and fun. Participants will be given three 2-minute trials to shoot baskets for as many points as possible. Additional points will be given for the amount fundraised by each individual and each team. Prizes will be given for the top point earners. All proceeds from the event will benefit ALS Research and Awareness. $10 Individual Admission Fee, $25 Admission Fee for Teams up to 5 people.

What is it?
Hoops for Hope is a basketball shoot out tournament and carnival oriented towards raising funds for ALS Research and Awareness.
How does the tournament work?
You may register as an individual for $10 or as part of team of 5 for $30/team. You will be given three 2-minute trials to score as many points as possible. At the end of your two minutes you will be given the chance to make a half court shot to double your basketball points. This will not count against you if you miss. The best score out of three will be taken as your overall score. Team scores will be cumulative among members. Prizes will be given to the top 3 individuals with the highest points and the top 3 teams with the highest points.
To qualify for the top prizes, individuals must fundraise at least $50 and teams must fundraise at least $200.
What if I’m bad at basketball?
Additional points can be earned through fundraising to give you an edge against your competitors! The point breakdown is as follows:
1 pt/$1 for $0 - $100 funds raised
2 pt/$1 for $101 – $250 funds raised
3 pt/$1 for $251 – $500 funds raised
5 pt/$1 for $501+ funds raised
There will be other games and activities to participate in! Things like music, pong, prize wheels, corn hole, and knockout will be happening. And did we mention the food? It's going to be rockin'!
