On January 3, 2026, Asbury Park Brewery will host Play Like a Champion, an ALS Awareness Benefit Show honoring the life of Scott Goldsberry, a devoted father and longtime Hazlet youth football coach, Scott Goldsberry, who passed away from an aggressive form of C9 Orf 72 ALS just over a year after his diagnosis.

Scott spent years coaching and mentoring young athletes, helping shape their character with patience, humor, and dedication. His impact on the Hazlet community was profound, and his courage through ALS continues to inspire everyone who knew him. This event was created by those close to Scott who wanted to keep his spirit alive while raising awareness and funds for ALS research through the ALS Hope Foundation.

The show will feature performances by Beach Rats, a supergroup made up of members of Bad Religion, The Bouncing Souls, Lifetime, and Minor Threat, along with Free The Witness, T.O.W.M, Pusch, Thiev, The Cryptkeeper Five, and Joey Affatato.
