We’re officially one month away from the Walk and our T-Shirt is here! ✨Be sure to sign up by September 1st to get a free t-shirt when you check in! The 19th annual Hope Walks for ALS Family Fun Day is happening on September 20th at Temple Ambler Campus from 10AM to 12:30PM. We hope to see you there! We are so exited to announce KC Lubniewski as this year’s walk chair! KC Lubniewski is blessed to be a wife and a mother of 2 young boys. She’s currently a professor at Monmouth University and actively engaged in ALS research and community outreach. Like so many others living with ALS, she’s learned how quickly life can change, but she’s also discovered the strength that comes from family, friends, and community support.  She’s participating in this ALS Walk to help raise awareness, support research, and stand with everyone affected by this disease. Every step taken and every conversation started helps bring us closer to better treatments, more understanding, and ultimately a cure. KC’s Courage Crew would love for you to join them to walk beside her and help shine a light on ALS! You can join the courage crew by visiting the Hope Walk website (linked in our bio) or visiting charity.pledgeit.org/ALSHopeWalk2026/teams/KCsCourageCrew #ALSHF #HopeWalks2026

The ALS Hope Foundation was humbled to be part of the annual “Quinn for the Win” Ice Bucket Challenge at Empire City Casino in Yonkers, NY, honoring the LEGACY of the OG, Pat Quinn, and everyone who has been impacted by ALS. The IBC continues to remind us what can happen when a community comes together. The incredible legacy created by Pat Quinn and Pete Frates continues on in special ways. It also reminds us that there is still work to do with collaboration, advocacy, and a shared commitment to find a solution or a cure. Thank you to Big Pat, the Quinn family, and Larry Kaplan for all your advocacy and awareness. We appreciate all that you do!

In April, Dr. Terry Heiman-Patterson and PAC member Dr. Stacy Lewin-Farber traveled to Capitol Hill to advocate for the passing of this bill. They advocated for improving access and quality of care for people living with ALS and advancing federal funding for ALS research. The Senate’s passing of ACT for ALS Reauthorization is a major win for the ALS community. We are one step closer, but the battle is not yet won. After lawmakers return in September, legislation will be passed onto the President. We are pleased with the momentum being created, but ALS still demands urgency. Today has shown us that together, we can make a difference. #actforals #alsadvocacy #alscollaboration

This weekend, ALS Hope North had the opportunity to host 11 people living with ALS along with a family member or caregiver to attend the Zac Brown Band concert at Fenway Park. We are incredibly grateful for John Hopkins and Hop On A Cure for working in collaboration with us to create this memorable experience for everyone who attended. A special shout out to the team at Fenway Park for prioritizing ADA seating so our group could enjoy the show from the front row! We are so thankful for those who support ALS Hope Foundation’s mission to make a difference in the lives of those living with ALS and their families. Thank you all!
Thank you to all who joined the inaugural event of ALS LEAP (Lived Experience Advocacy Program), Hope Never Goes Out Of Style! ALS LEAP’s mission is to turn access to ALS education and research into empowered advocacy for the ALS lived experience community. 💃 This night of Fashion, Celebration, and Community at the Eiteljorg Museum featured renowned neurologist Dr. Richard Bedlack who showed his documentary, “Stitching Strength”. We also had a chance to see local designer Mr. Jerry Atwood’s new exhibit highlighting Western Wear. Dr. Bedlack wore a suit designed by Mr. Atwood, and he loaned it to be included in the exhibit! We are so grateful to everyone who made it such a special night!
Last week, our team went to Meyer Design for their annual company field day! 🐥 For the last four years, Meyer Design has focused their annual field day on raising awareness and funds for ALS through healthy competition and games designed to highlight everyday experiences for those living with ALS. This year employees at Meyer Designed raised money for our Duck ALS initiative and employees played ALS themed games with a duck twist! 🐥 Thank you so much to Meyer Design for their generosity, your funds will go directly to helping people living with ALS access essential medical equipment!
