Last Saturday, ALS Hope North hosted the 2026 ALS Plunge For Hope that took place at Rexhame Beach in Marshfield, MA. Despite the temperature in the air and the temperature of the ocean both being a very cold 44 degrees, we had over 70 people in attendance, representing 9 different teams who all have direct a connection to ALS. Everyone enjoyed the tailgate party, and the energy was high as all of the teams were recognized during the ceremony and celebrated by everyone who was there for this special day. We are proud of those who were brave enough to jump in, and we are grateful for those who were there to show support for friends, family, and the ALS community. In total, more than $17,000 was raised for ALS awareness, education and support for those who have been impacted. A special thank you to our generous vendors: Brian Malloy Photography, DJ Brendan Burchill and Capn’ Mike’s Tiki Truck. We appreciate each person who helped make this such a memorable and successful day – thank you all!

Runners wanted! Join us May 17th for the 8th Annual Run for Hope 5K!

On April 7th, our Director of ALS Hope North Ashley Corbin participated in the 2nd ALS Advocacy Day at the State House in Boston, MA. Working in collaboration with the ALS Association, along with people living with ALS, caregivers and family members, the day was spent in small groups meeting with various elected officials to provide education and to share personal stories. The asks that were presented during the meetings focused on receiving funding from the annual budget, updating the home health care regulations to include anyone with ALS regardless of age, and lastly to protect individuals who participate in genetic testing from being discriminated against with insurance. It was a wonderful day to have the ALS community come together to empower pALS to advocate for themselves, to support families whose lived experiences need to be shared, and to show the endless drive we all share in making a difference in the world of ALS!

What an amazing night!! Our 8th Annual Gala of Hope was a huge success! We are so thankful for our incredible sponsors, inspiring speakers, hardworking volunteers, and our unbelievable community. Every year our entire team is blown away by the generosity, kindness and love found within the ALS Hope community.
